Fo anyone ever thinking of visiting Japan, yes, just go for it. Seriously, you won’t regret it. Japan has something for every visitor. If you like historical stuff and museums, Japan has plenty. If you love traditional olden days pilgrimage, Japan’s temples and shrines will wow you. If you enjoy the culinary adventure, Tokyo alone has more Michelin stars restaurants than London and Paris combined. If you get excited over people watching and interesting culture, well, Japan probably has one of the weirdest and coolest and awesomest all in one place. If you’re a tech geek or any geek for that matter, Japan is your geek heaven. If you adore fashion, well Harajuku baby! Need I say more?
In the past few months, I’ve shared with you my review of our honeymoon trip to Japan last March. Totes hope that you’ve found them useful. Here’s the list again:
- Day 1: Tokyo Disney Sea, Urayasu
- Day 2: Tokyo (rest day)
- Day 3: Hakone
- Day 4: Kyoto
- Day 5: Kyoto and Kyoto (rest day)
- Day 6: Tokyo – Harajuku, Yoyogi Park, Akihabara
- Day 7: Tokyo – Shinjuku
- Day 8: Tokyo – Ikebukuro
- Day 9: Tokyo – Imperial Palace, Shibuya, Ginza
- Day 10: Tokyo – Odaiba
If we could vote for the best country to travel, we would probably vote for Japan. We are visiting again at the end of the year, just because we felt like we didn’t cover enough the last time! (:
I mean, what’s not to love about these? (Yep, they were awesome cakes that we had for 2 nights in a row whilst in Ginza because we got a little obsessed.) Fujiya Co. is a well known confectionary brand in Japan and I’m sure many people would be familiar with their mascot Pekko-chan. I remember having these milky lollies as a kid.
Early the next morning, we woke up realising that it was our last morning in Tokyo. I admired the beautiful sight just outside of our hotel window and bid Tokyo goodbye. We arrived at Narita airport with no more loose change and when we saw the Kit Kats, we thought to ourselves: there will be a next time. And we managed to see Mount Fuji for one last time as we were up in the sky! Thanks for the pilot who so kindly informed us…
We can’t believe that we’ll be seeing all these sights and sounds again in no time!
