One thing I love about the new year is that I can plan for things afresh. It’s as if I could give my life a fresh start and everything is going to be different (at least it feels that way.)
The most exciting thing about the new year is having to use a new diary planner. I have been contemplating if I should go paperless this year, but when my awesome friend bought me a Kikki.K 2013 planner I knew I had to contemplate no more. I will still attempt to use less paper (just a personal goal of mine), but nothing’s wrong with wanting to use a pretty planner to motivate me, right?
This planner has everything you need to stay organised. It starts in December 2012, although because I received this as a Christmas gift, I will only start using it from today onwards. It features monthly view, weekly view, pages for addresses, websites, movies, books, wish list, shops & restaurants, expenses, cute sticker sheets and also a removable notebook. Yes, very comprehensive indeed.
Another thing to love: the thoughtful packaging. I love how it comes with a little envelope that says “Open Me” which tells the story of Kikki.K and how the brand seeks to help us to be more organised.
By saving time and energy, you can focus on the important things in life. If our life is sorted, your mind will be too – and what a fantastic feeling that is.
– Kikki.K
And most importantly, this planner is pretty!!!
This cute diary also comes with an equally adorable notebook. I am still deciding what to use this notebook for, although I already have a couple of ideas in my mind:
- Jot down ideas anytime, anywhere.
- Write down inspirational thoughts and quotes each time I find them.
- Pen down long term goals that I want to achieve this year; and then use the full diary to set short-term goals.
The notebook is quite tiny, only 26 pages to write on, with some cute extra pages of drawings, a join-the-dot game and a one-page question that will get us thinking. As always, with all things Kikki.K, they are beautifully designed and easy on the eye.
Kikki.K has also cleverly added some sections that encourage us to think a little more, which is totally something that I encourage everyone to do. I love the idea of asking short questions to get people thinking, inspire curiosity and encourage creativity. In fact, in 2013, I’m all about that.
Here’s the first one, right before the January 2013 weekly section:
I will blog about my new year’s resolutions this week. As for now, I shall stop blogging and start writing on my 2013 planner…
Happy new year! Join the fun. Answer this: My new year’s resolution is ___________.
